Da’wah CD Suggestions

Assalamu’alaikum!

Some time ago I was searching on the web for suggestions on lectures by different speakers to give other Muslims and those who aren’t. I couldn’t find any during my searches :S So MS.FAT decided do suggest some on our own 😛

Some are mixed and matched and are included across all categories. But feel free to mix them up as you wish. Orange bolded ones are my personal favourites 🙂

These talks can all be found on youtube.

Suggestions to give those who aren’t Muslim:

These talks include discussions on the purpose of life, the Creator, what Islam is about, misconceptions about and contemporary issues surrounding Islam.

1. Edward Said on Orientalism*

I feel this talk is a must watch. Teens in school and up should be shown this in class as well to understand orientalism and its massive effect on the world and their views towards Islam.

2. Tell Me About God by Hamza Tzortzis

3. Challenging the Existence of God by Nouman Ali Khan

4. The purpose of life by Jeffery Lang*

This was one of the first talks I personally watched at the beginning when we started practising Alhamdulillah.

5. Where are you going? By Khalid Yasin

6. What is Islam All About? By Mufti Ismail Musa Menk

7. America, this is our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) by Ahmad Musa Jibril

I’ve never heard such a detailed and clear explanation on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s marriage. Shaykh Ahmad really tackled the misconceptions and accusations really well Alhamdulillah. This was actually the first video that I watched of this Shaykh that just blew me away because of his depth of knowledge Alhamdulillah…really shows who the real scholars and teachers of this deen are. After watching this I went on to start watching his Tawheed classes, even though F has been telling me for a long time to watch it. I was not very interested at first (cuz it sounded a bit boring and basic) but I’M HOOKED NOW! Wallahi there’s so much to learn and benefit from. I REALLY recommend everyone to watch his tawheed classes!!!
